ATC Captain's Day Charity Tournament held on August 14th 2011
This year club captain Tetyana Shumska held the new format for competition - Whistle Stop Tournament. Over 30 participants had round-robin 7 minutes games which was great fun. Then we had Nadal and Murrey challenges followed by wining and dining in form of BBQ - sausages and burgers. A good amount of donations were risen for Make A Wish Ireland from entry fees. The raffle also took place during the tournament where amazing prizes were won. So the tournament winners were as follows:
Section C Runners Up - Damian O'Brian and Jacqueline Kelly, Miriam Rowan and Keith Meredith
Section C Winners - Julie Miller and John Little
Section B Runners Up - Antonino Orimaco and Rosemary Graham

Spring League 2011 - new format
Spring League will start on 28th. March, fee 20 euro for four games.
The league will have a different format this year. There will be groups of four men
& four ladies playing a mixed match each week and with a different partner.
Individual scores will be recorded with 1 female & 1 male winner from each group.
Each round will be 21 games (including advantage).
The organisers would stress that that all players must be ready to start matches at
8pm. Sharp each night. We hope this new format will inject new life to the league
and we are looking to as many members as possible to participate.
Other news for March 2011:
Inter-firms two week tournament starts on 3rd of May. This event is open
to non club members.
Membership fees for this year are: Unchanged again for existing
members, with a new red membership shoe tag this year.
To encourage new members we are offering 1st. time members a special
price of 130 euro membership fee for the year.
First time family membership (new members) 270 euro fee for the year.
So spread the word to all your friends.
